The Honourable Minister of the FCT, Malam Mohammad Musa Bello has approved the re-appointment of Dr. Mohammed Gambo Hamza as the Provost of the FCT College of Education, Zuba. Dr Hamza had served a first term from 2014 till 2018.

In his letter of appointment signed by the Director of Human Resource Management of the FCTA, Hajia Amina Abubakar, it was stated that the renewal of his appointment was in recognition of his hard work, diligence and professional competence. He was admonished to continue to exhibit a high sense of responsibility in the discharge of his duties.

Dr. Gambo Hamza who possesses a Doctorate Degree in Arabic Education joined the services of the FCT College of Education in 2001 as a Chief Lecturer. He served in many capacities in the College including pioneer Dean of the Schools of Arts and Social Sciences and School of Languages, Director of Remedial Studies, Director, Consultancy Services and Director, Continuing Education.

In his first tenure of the Provost of the COE Zuba, Dr. Gambo Hamza worked tirelessly to ensure that the enabling law of the College was passed by the National Assembly and that all 29 academic programmes of the College were fully accredited by the NCCE.

He said that his major priority in his second tenure is the movement of the College to its permanent site.
